This jacket has proven itself on adventures in the hard-to-reach areas of the Dolomites, where summit climbs are complicated and demanding.Full performance with a waterproof, breathable layerThe Sella Ski 2L men’s jacket features a two-layer Powertex laminate construction that combines two different hardshell fabrics to provide solid and durable weather protection with a 20,000 mm waterproof rating on the back, shoulders, forearms and waist, while the main fabric offers a solid 10,000 mm waterproof rating and good breathability. Additional protection is provided by welded seams and a 100% PFC (Durable Water Repellent) finish. Around the lower torso, we’ve used a lighter outer fabric with additional wool yarns woven into the material. This provides improved breathability at higher speeds, and is further supported by deep side zips with ventilation openings that release excess heat.Thermo-reactive insulationThe jacket is lined with lightweight 60-gram TirolWool Responsive, which provides natural thermoregulatory warmth. The wool comes from Tyrolean sheep that graze in high-altitude pastures and benefits from a high lanolin content, so it provides warmth even when wet. Weve enhanced its properties with our proprietary Responsive technology, which uses thermoreactive minerals to recycle infrared energy from the body and release it back over time, keeping you comfortable for longer, performing better, and recovering faster.The comprehensive feature set includes a well-designed, insulated storm hood that fits over your helmet with a user-friendly, one-handed adjustment system at the back. Plus, a waterproof two-way front zipper, a chest pocket with direct access zip for your ARTVA avalanche device, two external pockets with waterproof zippers, and a large internal mesh pocket for your gloves.
